PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK

Positions in this class perform maintenance and repair of Lafayette Consolidated Government buildings and auxiliary structures, and repair and maintenance of a variety of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical equipment.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from high school and experience in the building, electrical, and mechanical trades; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Strong electrical experience desired.

NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATION

Valid driver’s license required to apply. Valid Louisiana driver’s license required prior to appointment.

TYPE OF EXAMINATION -Examination will be a written test.
