PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK
Position operates a tractor and mower (greens, tee, and rough) and other related lawn and golf equipment to perform maintenance tasks, such as cutting greens, tees, and fairways, at a municipal golf course. Performs other golf course grounds maintenance including cutting cups, raking sand traps, weed eating, replacing sod, and making repairs on irrigation system to ensure proper functioning. Positions typically work very early morning shifts that end in the late morning or early afternoon.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to read and write; some experience in the operation of equipment similar to those described herein; or any equivalent combination of training and experience is desired.
NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATION
Valid driver’s license required to apply. Valid Louisiana driver’s license required prior to appointment.
