PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK

Responsible for Computer Aided drafting (AutoCAD and some MicroStation) of engineering plan, profile, and cross section drawings for use in the preparation of plans for the Department of Drainage. Prepare drawings, maps, diagrams, inserts, etc. used in construction bid documents. Prepare other documents, brochures, pamphlets, and related, for various uses by the Department. Use LCG’s Geographic Information System to input and retrieve various data. Serve as an Inspector of various Department of Drainage projects.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

Associate’s Degree or completion of a technical specialty program of eighteen months – three years duration in civil engineering technology (or closely related field) and significant prior working experience in the civil engineering field incorporating the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the specific position.

TYPE OF EXAMINATION

Examination will be a multiple-choice test.
