PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK

Organize, oversee, and plan the daily activities of crew(s) of equipment operators and utility repairmen involved in work to construct, repair, and/or maintain city-parish wastewater collection system. Positions will personally oversee projects requiring a high degree of specialized skill or will direct the work of several crews. Foreman participates in work as needed.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of high school and considerable experience in the maintenance, repair, and minor construction of wastewater collection system of municipal facilities, including some lead worker experience at the level of Labor Foreman II; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Possession of Class IV Wastewater Collection certification issued by the State of Louisiana, within three years of appointment.

NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATION

Possession of Class D CDL (Chauffeur’s license).

TYPE OF EXAMINATION - Examination will be a multiple-choice test.
