PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK

Positions in this class perform technical work on telecommunications engineering projects, such as overhead and underground fiber service extensions design/deployment. Performs drawing and mapping in Visio and ESRI related to the LUS Fiber system.  Coordinates with various outside personnel, including contractors and customers, etc., for fiber service delivery.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

Formal training beyond high school specific to the individual position and prior work experience in the telecommunications engineering field incorporating knowledge, skills, and abilities related to construction, utilities markings, computer skills (Excel, Word, general knowledge), Fiber products, means of delivering those services, etc.

TYPE OF EXAMINATION - Examination is a multiple-choice test.
