PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK

Position is responsible for construction inspection and construction documentation of City-Parish construction projects; construction inspection/documentation of residential/commercial roadway and sidewalks and drainage infrastructure for acceptance by City-Parish and construction inspection/documentation of public/private utilities (i.e., water, sewer, gas, fiber optic, etc.) installation within the City-Parish right-of-way.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

Associate’s Degree or completion of a technical specialty program of eighteen months – three years duration in civil engineering technology (or closely related field) and significant prior working experience in the civil engineering field incorporating the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the specific position. 

TYPE OF EXAMINATION -Examination will be a multiple-choice test.
